Online and Smartphone Resources for Improving Classroom Engagement and Assessment

I had the pleasure of participating in a learning event a couple weeks ago at Sacred Heart University.  The event known as Faculty Showcase: Teaching Innovations- Experiments from the Classroom was a great opportunity for college instructors to share ideas with each other about what does and does not work in each of our classrooms.  I should start out by thanking Jaya Kannan and Barbara Gerwien from the Office of Digital Learning at Sacred Heart for presenting me with the opportunity to participate in the event. I left the event with a lot of great ideas. I am writing this post to share the presentation that I brought to the event.  In retrospect, I am not sure if I really needed it. The format was informal but very informational. I could have just worked off of the websites for the resources I came prepared to discuss.  My presentation was structured more toward an informal professional development session. It includes some useful resources along with ideas for their proper use.  I hope some of you find it useful.
